Why Flow Turned to Snag
Flow previously ran an in-house points system as existing solutions didn’t support their custom needs. Quickly, Flow realized that managing a high-quality points system alongside core priorities was unsustainable and a major drain on resources. Together we partnered on a three pronged roll-out to upgrade their loyalty system by:
Using Snag’s Rewards Shop. This unlocked real utility for their points.
Using Snag’s ecosystem hub to drive meaningful dApp contributions.
Migrating the backend to Snag’s loyalty logic and offchain ledger using Snag as their full loyalty operating system. This enabled seamless tracking and management of points.
All in all, Snag offered a full‑stack loyalty OS - quest logic, DeFi integrations, rewards distribution, analytics, and a customizable front end - all in one place and shipped in weeks, not months.
Building a Growth Engine
Unified user experience: Users now track quests, points, and redemptions in a single dashboard with built-in Flow wallet. This enables seamless onboarding into the Flow EVM ecosystem, and a familiar experience for current users.
Rewarding high-impact contributions: Borrowing, lending, or swapping on Flow’s flagship protocols (i.e., Kitty Punch) or playing industry‑leading games like Cryptokitties are ways users can engage that directly impact Flow's goals.
Points utility: Points are real currency in Flow’s ecosystem. Users can enter sweepstakes or purchase NFTs and physical items with Snag's rewards distribution toolkit.
Self‑serve: Flow can customize the frontend, list apps, configure quests, and make data driven decisions with robust reporting and anti-Sybil analytics.
Results
817.7k monthly active users: Active users grew by 162% M/M.
13.8M onchain transactions: Full ecosystem quests (gaming, NFTs, DeFi) and rewards minted on Flow EVM drove a 57% increase in onchain txns from May to June.
28.3% increase in DeFi TVL: Deeper liquidity on it’s EVM chain with complex onchain quest logic.
172% increase in active developers: By leveraging their traffic platform as a value add for Flow EVM, building on the chain became more appealing.
