WireUp is a non-custodial wallet powered by Wire Network, built for communities and designed around an in-app agent that executes financial actions within the limits each user sets. When WireUp set out to add a rewards program to their app, they did not want a hosted page bolted onto the side. They wanted loyalty, user profiles, and rewards logic running natively inside the wallet, fully under their control. They built it on Snag.
The Challenge
WireUp wanted rewards, profiles, and loyalty logic living natively inside their own wallet experience, not on an external white-label page. Delivering that in-house meant solving the parts of the problem that are genuinely hard to build well:
A unified user profile database tying each user’s wallets and social accounts to a single identity.
A social verification layer to make those account connections trustworthy.
Embeddable loyalty logic and real-time reporting the wallet could render and the team could manage without shipping new code each time.
Built internally, this was a three to six month engineering commitment before WireUp could reward a single user, and it would have pulled their team off the wallet itself. As a wallet built for communities, they needed the program live quickly and flexible enough to adjust as they learned.
What They Built
WireUp used Snag’s API-first infrastructure to embed loyalty and user intelligence directly into their app. Rather than redirecting users to a hosted page, they pulled user profiles, loyalty rules, point balances, and leaderboards straight into the wallet through Snag’s APIs, and controlled exactly what to display and how the mechanics behaved from Snag’s no-code admin panel. Their team managed the program in the panel; the wallet rendered it natively.
On the Loyalty Engine side, WireUp configured the rules that drove the program: rewards for wallet sign-up, in-app referrals, and completing social quests across Telegram, X, and Reddit as part of their rewards campaign, alongside support for earning tied to in-app activity such as staking. The social quests were the acquisition mechanic at the top of the funnel, feeding a program built for retention rather than a one-time activation.
On the User Intelligence side, Snag provided the piece that is hardest to build alone: a single user profile linking each user’s wallets and social identities, backed by a social verification layer, with a real-time CRM dashboard on the back end. WireUp’s team could watch data populate live as users completed tasks, and see the activity behind every individual referral entering the platform.
Because Snag worked directly with WireUp’s engineering team through the APIs and documentation, the integration felt like adopting infrastructure rather than a marketing tool.
“Your docs are just like working with Stripe. Very easy to use and intuitive.”

The Impact
The program that would have taken three to six months to build internally went live in one month. WireUp shipped an embedded, natively controlled rewards system without diverting engineers into building a user-profile database and social verification stack from scratch, and with the confidence that any future changes would be supported by Snag rather than re-engineered in-house. Because the CRM data was visible in real time, the program was measurable from the day it launched, not just live.
Why Snag
WireUp’s decision came down to what infrastructure is actually for. Unified identity, social verification, embeddable loyalty logic, and real-time behavioral data are slow and expensive to build well, and none of it is what makes a wallet differentiated. Snag let WireUp treat all of it as a layer they could call through an API and manage in a panel, keeping their team focused on the wallet while still owning the full user experience.
